More… Members of the public are invited to submit an application form for the October Council Organizational meeting.It is at this meeting applications are reviewed and decisions made as to who will serve on the various bodies. Most of the boards/committees/commissions are advisory bodies, providing advise and recommendations to Council, although some are autonomous and make decisions on their own (ie: Municipal Planning Commission, Subdivision/Development Appeal Board and Assessment Review Board) Time commitments vary, some meet on a monthly basis while other may meet only at the call of the chairman or when an issue arises that requires their review. Some of the Boards/Committees/Commissions have specific and sometimes mandatory training requirements. Training is provided by either Provincial staff or other personnel.
