An additional seasonal Parks Worker position has been approved, bringing the parks workforce to a total of two seasonal workers.
Both positions are planned to work between May 1 to September 30, depending on staff availability. Being seasonal, these positions will not be able to provide winter services.
In preparation for the new worker, the M.D. would like the public’s feedback to plan what additional parks services should be provided.
This could include such summer services as:
- mowing;
- tennis court and summer rink clean up;
- Guy Gibson Park in the Hamlet of Benchlands general clean up (excluding operating the outlet valve);
- maintenance of the “back 40” trails and parking lot which are located on the Crown lands northwest of the Summer Village of Waiparous;
- additional dog bag dispensers and pedestrian waste container management;
- creek area landscaping and maintenance etc.; and
- non-regulated weed control.
The M.D. is requesting your feedback. Please click HERE to be taken to an online feedback form where you can have your input.
This feedback form was also mailed out to MD residents and can be submitted via mail to: Box 310, Exshaw Alberta T0L 2C0 or emailed to: kendra.tippe@mdbighorn.ca
