At their June 8th regular meeting, Council granted Administration the authority to award the contract for the Jura Creek Debris-Flood Mitigation Project. The tender for Jura Creek project will be posted in the next two weeks. Administration will award the contract based on the evaluation of the bids received. As part of the Council meeting, there was a Closed Session (in-camera) to discuss the Jura Creek Project legal opinion. Administration had asked Golder to address groundwater comments noted in both the BGC Engineering Third Party Review and Golder’s Response to the BGC assessment. A Technical Memo was submitted by Golder and given to Council as part of the Closed Session discussion. At the request of Administration, Golder has re-submitted a stamped Technical Memo to the M.D. and the document is now public.
