Focus on self-control, self-defense, kicking and punching, this is not a structured program to earn belts and certification, it is a recreation time to practice together and improve your current skills.

You can also renew your GWAS annual membership for the 2020 calendar year at the AGM ($20 for families, $10 for individuals. Payment can be made by cash or cheque).
If you are unable to make it to the AGM, you can also renew your membership by sending an e-transfer to GWAS or you can send a cheque to us by regular mail.

Formed pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) considers and makes decisions on development permit applications, acts as the municipality’s subdivision approving authority, and provides advice to Council on planning and development related matters.

Due to the semi-judicial nature of the subject matter and possible litigious action that may fall out of decisions from certain bodies, the unadopted minutes for the Assessment Review Board hearings, the Municipal Planning Commission, and the Subdivision/Development Appeal Board shall not be posted on the web-site.

The Streets and Roads Committee reviews and considers changes to existing MD policies with respect to streets and roads, and conditions thereto, and works towards the completion of a long-range transportation network plan, and/or a Roads Master Plan, using professional assistance when required.

The Finance & Economic Development Committee (F&EDC), is made up of members of Council, focuses on financial management, community promotion and investment in the MD. The committee meets monthly, to review the financial statements and auditors reports, and to form recommendations on financial / fiscal policies for Council.
