211211 Service

211 is the source Canadians trust when seeking information or services to deal with life challenges. 211s award-winning telephone help line (2-1-1) and website www.ab.211.ca with online chat service provide a gateway to community, social, non-clinical health and related government and private not-for-profit services.

It’s available to navigate human services quickly and easily 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in over 100 languages.

The South Ranchlands and Bow Valley areas of the MD have service out of Calgary and North Ranchlands has service out of Red Deer. Trained crisis centre staff answer calls and provide information the services in your area by using your postal code.

FCSS offices provide counseling, information and referral support during regular business hours.

 

Urgent Mental Health Services 

Walk-in counseling service at Banff, Canmore and Calgary Hospitals – available seven days per week from 2-9pm.

Cochrane Community Health Centre has a walk-in mental health clinic Monday-Thursday: 11:00-5:00, Friday 11:00-3:00.

No appointment needed.
