Environmental Farm Plan (EFP)

Maintaining a healthy environment is essential to the success of Alberta’s agricultural producers. An Environmental Farm Plan is a self-assessment process that allows producers to identify and evaluate environmental risks and strengths that may be present within their agricultural operation. Through this voluntary and confidential process, producers are provided with a free workbook that they are able to work through at their own pace. This workbook is aimed at creating awareness and is the assessment tool that provides producers with the evidence that there may be some areas of possible environmental risk in their current operation. Although this is not a MD of Bighorn specific program, Agricultural Services staff have workbooks on hand and can guide you through their completion. For more information about the Alberta Environmental Farm Plan you can go to www.albertaefp.com or call 310-FARM (3276).
