FireSmart fuel reduction work has completed on the North and west edges of the Back 40 Recreation Lease to reduce the threat of wildfire to life and property in the area.
A public information and consultation session will be held 10 am - noon on Saturday, February 24 at the Waiparous Community Services Building. This event is organised by the Back 40 and SVW FireSmart Committees. This is your opportunity to provide your feedback and input into the next operational phases of the Back 40 FireSmart plan.

Firewood is piled at the edge of the fire break for residents to remove by obtaining TM66 permits, we have a TFA which allows vehicular access on Cutline and Eau Claire trails only until April 15/18.
REMEMBER **Please stack firewood as far away from your house as possible to reduce the fuel load next to your house**
