Agriculture & Environment


The Agricultural and Environmental Services department is comprised of the Environmental Fieldman and Assistant Environmental Fieldman. Their role is to provide relevant information to residents and they are responsible for overseeing and administering the municipal agriculture and environment related programs.

The Environmental Fieldman is appointed as the municipality's Agricultural Fieldman and, with support from the Assistant Environmental Fieldman, is responsible for implementing the agricultural policies, programs and to manage the agricultural resources of the municipality. The Environmental Fieldman is also appointed as an inspector under the Weed Control Act, Agricultural Pests Act, and Soil Conservation Act.
